Calling the Quitline with Translating and Interpreting Service

Quit SA provides a wide range of services to the wider community, and seeks to assist the multicultural community on the issue of tobacco smoking.

Multicultural resources

A number of resources are available in multiple languages. These items can be downloaded below, or ordered by fax using the Quit resource order form

Quit book - 23 page booklet with information on quitting and tips on staying quit. Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, Croatian, Italian, Greek, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.  Quit because you can website contains many different resources in a range of different languages.  
 
Passive Smoking brochure - 4 page booklet explainging why to avoid passive smoking.

NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service
A statewide service based in South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service and funded by NSW Health. It aims to facilitate the communication of quality information about health issues and health services to people of non-English speaking backgrounds.  Their o

Calling the Quitline - it's easy using the Translating and Interpreting Service

Callers with limited English can now benefit from talking to a Quitline adviser by using an interpreter. This service is free and uses a three-way telephone communication channel with an interpreter, Quitline adviser and the caller. Callers will be linked with an appropriate interpreter within 30 minutes.
